Warnemünde, Germany was our first stop on the Baltic Sea. It’s a seaside resort town and port located at the mouth of the river Warnow (Warnemünde means Warnow mouth) in the northern-most part of the Rostock region of Germany. Since it’s only 240 km (180 miles) from Berlin, it was within reasonable train-traveling distance. So we arranged to take a day-long excursion to Berlin.
I grew up hearing, reading, and watching stories about Germany and especially Berlin… few of them flattering. But I was in for a real about-face in my views of this beautiful country and that remarkable city. You can experience some of our visit in my photo-blog.
